Roof Replacement:
When you have Elite Roofers replace your roof, we don't install entry level products, we use high quality materials such as CertainTeed synthetic underlayment and Landmark® Series shingles as part of the complete Integrity Roof System™. We also install 24 gauge steel standing seam roof systems with high temperature ice and water shield. Whether you want a traditional asphalt shingle, impact resistant roofing, or need flat rolled roofing, we install it all. Read on to find out more about our roof replacement process.
Roof Inspection and Consultation
Before anything else, a roof inspection may reveal issues that need to be taken into account for an accurate estimate or that may help you decide if buying a roof directly or involving your insurance company is the best way to go. We will be sure to count all the roof accessories, inspect pipes and flashing, and look for any other details that may come up during roof installation.
Homeowners Insurance Claim
If your roof has been damaged by hail or wind, the most common answer is to file a homeowners insurance claim. But before you do, you'll want to understand the process and your insurance policy. Find out what information is on your declarations page, including deductibles, endorsements, or roof payment schedules. As licensed roofing contractors We will not advise you to file a claim, unless it makes sense for you.
Roof Estimate and Optional Upgrades
Elite Roofers will compile a roof replacement proposal that includes everything necessary to replace your existing roof with a new lifetime warranty roof system. We'll also give you a list of optional roof upgrades, such as impact resistant shingles, thicker hip & ridge shingles, high performance underlayment, and SureStart PLUS workmanship warranties.
Shingle or Metal Color Selection
One of the best things about getting a new roof is choosing the color. You can go with Weathered Wood, the most popular roofing shingle color, or you can choose from a wide variety of other available shingle colors. If you plan to get metal roof installation, there are plenty of metal roofing colors to choose from as well.
Roof Financing - Down Payment
Our standard roof replacement payment terms include 10% down, 40% on material delivery, and 50% on completion, but many homeowners take advantage of our options to finance a new roof. If you use roof financing, you can finance 100% of the total, with approved credit. Or you can make a down-payment to get your roof on our schedule. We have flexible payment options for roof replacement to make it easy for anyone to get a new roof.
HOA / POA / Permitting
Whether you live in The Woodlands and need a permit from the township, or your homeowners association requires an architectural committee to review all roof replacements, we are exceedingly familiar with the permitting and ARC/ACC processes of all the municipalities in our service areas. Let our team take the work off of your shoulders and handle your permits and forms to get your roof replaced.
Schedule Your Roof Replacement
Once you've selected materials, received any necessary permits or HOA approvals, and made a down-payment, or financed your new roof, our production supervisor will reach out to you to schedule your roof replacement.
Your New Roof Email
Once your roof is on our calendar, we will send you an email detailing what to expect the day of your roof replacement, including when to expect our crew to arrive, when to expect the materials to be delivered, what our project supervisor will do at your home, any access needed by our team, what we do to protect your home, what to do about satellite dishes, roof decking inspection, clean up during and after, and information about any remaining balance.
New Roof Day
When the day has finally arrived for your roof replacement, our crew will arrive early in the morning to set up the Catch-All netting and tarps to protect your home's exterior, gardens, yard, and pool from the falling debris of tearing off the old roofing materials. Our on-site supervisor will follow a detailed checklist to ensure every step of the Elite Roofers roof replacement process is followed. This includes checking the attic, before and after roof installation, to make sure vent pipes are secured.
Follow up Cleaning
After we have replaced the roof, performed a general clean up, and hauled off any remaining debris and materials, our detailed follow up cleaning will take place (usually the next morning, pending weather). We will sweep with magnets to catch any loose nails, check the flower beds to find any hidden roofing debris, and more.
Final Inspection, Certificate, and Receipt
Performing a final inspection to check the details of your roof replacement, is important to make sure anything that needs correction is found before it becomes a problem. When you and our team are satisfied with a job well done, your final payment is accepted, you will receive a receipt and certificate of completion. With your new roof installed, most insurance companies will offer you a discount on your premiums, especially if you chose an impact resistant shingle.
